Your central water filtration system is designed to reduce Chroline contaminants based on the incoming concentration. Find the Chlorine Specifications within the first few pages of your Owner's Manual.
The chart below can be found on the Specifications page of your Owner's Manual.
The rated Chlorine Concentration (left) is the amount of chlorine in your water supply. To determine this, you'll need to purchase a testing kit or bring a sample of water to a treatment center.
The gallons listed (right) is the total estimated gallons that your central water filtration system can treat before the media is exhausted. Once the media reach its lifespan, it is time to either swap it out or replace the entrie system. The average lifespan of our systems are about 10 years.
Example:
At a chlorine level of 2.0 ppm, the WHELJ1 will be able to treat approx. 570,000 gallons of water before the activated carbon media is exhausted.
