Do you hear a hissing or gurgling sound coming from your faucet? You may be experiencing a leaky or noisy air gap at your faucet. This might mean there's some debris in the drain route. Let's work together to perform some quick routine maintenance and get this fixed!

Check and Clear the Drain Hose
1. You'll want to stop water flow through your system by taking off the Prefilter on your unit. You can do this by unscrewing it counter-clockwise. The prefilter is the first filter on the system, closest to the green hose.
2. Next, under the sink you'll need to disconnect the black drain hose from the quick-connect drain adaptor. Grab a small container and set the hose into that so it catches water leakage.
3. Go ahead and reconnect the prefilter back onto the system by putting it into place and twisting it on clockwise. Wait a few seconds. If you notice there's still water leaking out of the airgap, then you most likely have a small clog in the black hose. You'll need to remove the prefilter again and pull that black hose off the faucet.
4. While the hose is off you'll want to use a tool (such as a pen, pencil, screwdriver) and place it into the drain adaptor to verify that the adaptor is lined up with the plumbing (pictured below). Also, check for debris in the plumbing.
5. Now, you'll want to blow through the hose to clear it. Reconnect the hose to the faucet and drain adaptor, making sure the hose route is a direct downward slope, with no loops or bends.
Check the Flow Control
1. For this part, you'll need to get access to the flow control insert. To do this, remove the gray elbow from your system by pushing IN on the red collet port, and pulling OUT on the gray elbow.
2. The orange insert should be inside the gray elbow. Take the insert out of the elbow.
***If it's not in the elbow, it may be stuck inside the red collet port on the filter assembly. Remove the red port by pulling it straight out and use a tweezers or similar tool to remove the orange insert from inside the port.
3. Check the insert and remove any dirt or residue on it. You should be able to see through the center hole of the insert clearly.
4. Once it's cleaned off, push the orange insert back into the gray elbow securely. Place the red collet port back into place if you removed it previously.
5. Go ahead and push the gray elbow back into the red port.
6. Lastly, you can screw your prefilter back on by putting it in place and twisting it clockwise. You'll want to monitor your system for the next few hours to ensure it worked.
If You Have a Garbage Disposal...
If you have a garbage disposal, you'll want to make sure the drain adaptor is installed above where the garbage disposal connected to the plumbing (highlighted below).
