Do you need to add more anti-scale media to your system? You've made it to the right place. Below we'll walk through the steps together to get your system back up and running in no time. Let's get started!
Tools Needed: Strap wrench, 3/4" or less hose or tube, Tape, Funnel

Step 1 - Disassemble & Add Media
1. First, you'll need to remove the top cover. You can do this by pulling back on both corners at the bottom of the opening in the back and then lifting the cover up. Feel free to set it on the post on the back.
2. You're going to bypass the system but turning the handles perpendicular to the flow of water, like shown below.
3. For this next part, you'll be letting pressure escape from the system. Go ahead and slowly loosen the installation collars and allowing that pressure out.
4. When both collars are loosened from the head you can pull the system away from the bypass valve.
5. Now, grab your strap wrench and unscrew the head from the tank neck adapter. Once it's unscrewed, check to see if the riser tube is still inserted in the head. If it is, go ahead and pull it free.
6. Using your hose or tube, you'll need to siphon out the water from the tank. Put the tube or hose into the riser tube and siphon the water out. This is important because when you add more media the bedding will float to the top. Siphoning the water out will prevent the bedding from escaping the tank.
7. Remove the clips and clamps, then lift the tank neck adapter and top distributor from the tank neck. There are o-rings connected so make sure not to lose those.
8. You want to make sure NO media gets in the riser tube so go ahead and put the tape over the top of the tube.
9. Now, you're going to take your funnel, make sure it fits inside the tank neck, and then add your media to the tank.
10. Once it's all in, you can take the tape off the tube and then we're going to put the system back together.
Step 2 - Reassemble the System
1. Make sure the o-rings are still connected to the top distributor. If they're good, go ahead and insert the top distributor back onto the riser tube. Put the tank neck adaptor back on, and then connect the clips and clamps.
2. Grab the Head and put it back onto the top. Screw the Head back on.
3. Once the Head is screwed back on, you'll push the system back into the bypass valve. Go ahead and twist the collars to secure them to the head.
4. Once connected securely, you'll need to take the system back OUT of bypass. Go ahead and turn those handles so that they're parallel with the water flow again.
5. Go ahead and put the top cover back on and you're done! You've successfully added media to your system. Great work!
