Programming your system correctly is an essential step to ensuring you receive the best filtered water experience. Ready to begin? Follow the instructions below, or instructions can also be found in the Owner's Manual.
Click each section below to expand directions.
Set the Current Time
1. You'll start off by setting the time. From your main menu, press the Setup button, then press “Set time”. The display will change to show the current time.
2. Press (or hold) the Up/Down arrows to set the current time in your area. Be sure AM or PM is set correctly, then press Next.
Set the Water Hardness
1. Next, you'll set the water hardness. The hardness of your incoming water depends on your geographical location, so there's no 'average' or 'normal' number for this setting. To calculate your specific number, you can use our Hardness Guide.
2. Once you've determined your water hardness, you'll use the Up/Down buttons to set the value. Keep in mind that this model softener will have an individual screen to input Iron, so no need to worry about that here.
3. When finished, press Next twice. This will bring you back to the main menu.
Set the Recharge Time
1. Now you'll set the Recharge time. From the main menu, press the Recharge button. You'll see 'Recharge Options' display at the bottom.
2. You'll press the right arrow button, then press “Set Recharge Time”. Use the Up/Down buttons to set your preferred recharge time, ideally a time when your household will likely not be using water (ex: 2AM).
3. When you're done, press the Return arrow on the top left.
Set the Salt Level
1. Last step here is to set the salt level. Take a look inside the salt tank and you'll see the salt level indicator on the brinewell tube. You'll notice numbers 1-8 listed on the tubing.
2. From the main menu, press the Salt Level button. Each time you press this button, it'll increase the number on the tube on the left side of the screen. Match this number to where the salt is at the level in your tank. You'll want to make sure to update this programming each time you add new salt to the tank.
