Programming your softener with the correct model code is important because it ensures the system operates properly and efficiently. The model code tailors the softener's settings to match the specific unit's capacity, flow rate, and regeneration needs. Proper programming helps your softener run smoothly. Below we'll go through how to do that. Let's get started!
First - Identify Your Model Code
There are two places you can find your model code.
1. On the sticker decal of your unit - It's usually on the inside rim of the salt tank, directly under the hinges of the salt lid. The writing can be small, if you're having a hard time reading it, try using your phone to take a picture and then zooming in to see a bit better. Check out the example below:

Let's look a little closer to find the Model Code:
2. In the Owner's Manual. You'll find it under the Specifications and Performance Claims section towards the front pages of the manual.
Second - Program the Model Code
Once you've figured out the model code, you're ready to program your softener.
1. You'll want to start off by holding the Program button down until '000' appears on the screen, then let go.
2. Now, hold the Program button down again until you see 'Code' on the top of the screen. You may see the display change several times while you're holding the button, before this 'code' screen appears.
3. If the code on your screen is incorrect for your softener, use the Up/ Down arrows to find the correct code.
4. Once you've got the right code on the screen you can go ahead and press the Program button to lock it in and return to the home screen. You're done!
